Can’t Get Enough

Can’t Get Enough is out today! Thank you to the publisher for the review copy.

What an amazing read! Kennedy Ryan truly is one of the greatest storytellers of our time.

This is Hendrix’s story, who we’ve met as the super supportive, fabulous, kickass bestie to the FMCs of the other books in the series, though this can be read as a standalone. She meets her match in Maverick, the very recent ex-boyfriend of her producing partner. She doesn’t want to risk things professionally, so she tries hard to resist Mav’s charms, but that man was determined to win her over and those forbidden vibes were a delight to read.

Aside from a steamy romance, it’s also a story of caring for a parent with Alzheimer’s which added a lot of emotional depth to the plot. Hendrix’s family, both blood related and found, and the various ways they showed up for her brought me to tears.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Kennedy Ryan book without important social commentary, so please be sure to read her author’s note at the end to read about the real life inspiration for one of the plot points.

Overall, I just really thought this was a beautifully written, engaging romance.

Beautiful Exile

Happy Tuesday! Beautiful Exile is out today, thank you to the author for the ARC.

I always love being back in Sparrow Falls!

This is Arden’s story, who’s been a bit of a mystery throughout the series, and it turns out she’s one of my favorite CC heroines ever! How can you not love a FMC who holds the MMC at knifepoint upon first meeting him??

It’s got everything I love and want in a Catherine Cowles book – small town, (found) family, underestimated but strong FMC, protective MMC, romance, suspense, Lolli,  and this time throw in a hilarious meet cute too!

Definitely check this one out if you’ve loved this series so far too!

My Favorite Holidate

My Favorite Holidate is out now, thank you the author for the ALC!

This was such a fun holiday romcom! It’s a fake dating romance between a billionaire who wants his aunt to stop trying to set him up on dates, and his employee who needs to prove to her ex she’s over him so they pretend to be together at a wedding of mutual friends. It was the perfect storm of fake dating, holiday activities, and close proximity/only one bed as they attend the wedding weekend.

Both characters were great – I’m not drawn to billionaires in general but Wilder was kind and generous and so thoughtful- gift giving is his love language and he was so good at it. He was also such a good single dad, I loved him! Fable was also a good character, spunky and kind hearted and not afraid to give her boss shit. Their banter was great and the chemistry between them was intense and this was pretty high heat for a holiday romance!

The full cast audio (11 narrators!) led by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor in duet was phenomenal, I loved all the different voices and it made it feel like a movie.

That being said – it was awfully long for a holiday romcom (500 pages) so it started to get a little repetitive for me. You definitely get your money’s worth if you grab the audio though!

Overall I thought it was a cute romcom with an excellent audio production and definitely recommended grabbing it on audio if spicy romcoms are your jam!

The Player + The Pact = I Do

Happy Thursday! The Player + The Pact = I Do is out today. Thank you to the author for the ARC.

Any billionaire romance lovers out there?? I admit it’s not my fave trope but I found this enjoyable.

Leo, our billionaire, has been hurt before and is afraid to love again, but he is in need of a fake finance to show the woman who broke his heart that he’s totally fine without her. His assistant, Jules, steps into the role with the agreement that she can get a promotion in exchange for the ruse. This of course leads to real feelings as it tends to do!

I found it fast paced and entertaining, exactly what I want in a billionaire romance. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for these tropes:

-Billionaire MMC

-Strong FMC

-Boss/Employee

-Fake Engagement

-Forced Proximity

-Second chance (ish)

The Boss + The Maid = Chemistry – Louise Bay

The Boss + The Maid = Chemistry is out now! Thank you to the author for the ARC.

This was such a sexy and fun rom-com! This is a spin off of the author’s Doctors series though it reads fine as a standalone.

Efa and Bennett have a one night stand after meeting at a bar, only for her to show up as a maid at the hotel Bennett is currently residing in (and secretly owns.)

Efa is young and ballsy, she’s come to New York to get a job in tech and has no trouble going toe to toe with Bennett, who is 13 years older and tech billionaire. Bennett thinks she’s possibly stalking him after she shows up in his hotel room which was a funny misunderstanding.

The two are very hot for each other but it’s complicated with their age gap, her technically working for him and wanting a job at his tech company, and his general desire to remain anonymous.

It was spicy, funny, and I had a good time reading it!
