I loved this book! One part second chance romance, one part redemption story, intertwined with a mystery that will keep you guessing. 

I was hooked immediately and read it one sitting because I just had to find out what happened. The romance was tender, these two had been through quite a lot but once they were reunited it was clear they were meant to be together even though their HEA did not come easily. I loved both characters separately and together, the Staff Sergeant and the ex-con is a fun dynamic.     

The setting was interesting and unique, I’ve certainly never read a book that takes place on a bison farm but was it so perfect. I also loved the family dynamics, Logan reintegrating into his family, who haven’t all forgiven him for his past was so interesting. I loved Emery’s daughter, she was so funny and I loved how she built her own quiet relationship with Logan.

Honestly, I just loved everything about it, from beginning to end. It’s easily one of my favorite books of the year and it’s not even close!
