This is obviously a story written as a treat for fans of the series already, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it on its own. But considering I am a huge fan of the series, I loved it. It doesn’t have an overly elaborate plot, but it is a sweet story about two characters we’ve grown to know and love throughout the series and how they get their HEA. Ben is such a strong, steady character I especially enjoyed learning more about him and his backstory. It wraps up the series in a lovely, soft, romantic way.
There is also bonus content at the end that sets up the author’s next series which I am very much looking forward to.
I very much recommend this if you’re a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed.
And if you’re not a fan of the series (yet)? Now’s the time! The full series is available now on KU and it is so worth your time. It’s got romance, heat, mystery, humor, and an awesome family dynamic.
ARC Review: I’ve been waiting VERY impatiently for this one! I have loved the previous books in the Miles Family series but I knew this was going to be my favorite one from the time Leo was first introduced. And I was right (of course). The yearning, the heat, the heartache, the broken man ….Ohhhh man did I love this book.
It is the perfect mix of humor, drama, and romance. It could have fallen into the angsty-angst pit very easily but it rises above and tackles very real issues of PTSD and physical abuse without making you feel bad while reading. Sometimes overly-angsty books really drag me down while I’m trying to enjoy them, but this was thoroughly enjoyable throughout, even during the tough parts.
I loved seeing the rest of the family that we’ve gotten to know and love over the course of the previous books in the series, and the subplot pertaining to their father is finally resolved satisfactorily.
Obviously I love this book. If you love romance, do not hesitate to get this book. In fact, read the whole damn series. You won’t regret it. 5/5 stars

“I wasn’t ready for this. Hannah deserved a man who was whole, not a broken shell. But I couldn’t resist her. Couldn’t resist this. It felt too good.
And would that be so bad? To have something that felt good for once?”
My name is Leo Miles, and I’m not a hero.
I came home broken—wounded and scarred. It’s been five years, and I haven’t left my family’s land. Not once. It’s not much of a life, but with the way I look now, I prefer to stay hidden.
My only reprieve is her voice. I put on my headset, log in to my game, and she’s there. We talk while we play, sharing everything but our personal details. She’s my best friend—my happy place—even though I don’t know her real name.
Until one day, I hear a voice I recognize. She’s here, at my family’s winery. Meeting Hannah Tate in person rocks my world. And discovering she’s in trouble—serious trouble—changes everything.
Hannah is my every fantasy come true. And this badass gamer girl is determined to break through my defenses. But between the mess that is my life, and the threats to my family’s safety, I can’t be anyone’s hero, least of all hers.
Claire Kingsley writes smart, sexy romances with sassy and often quirky heroines, swoony heroes who love their women hard, panty-melting sexytimes, romantic happily ever afters, and ALL the big feels.
She can’t imagine life without coffee, her Kindle, and the sexy heroes who inhabit her imagination. She’s living out her own happily ever after in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and three kids.
The Miles Family series brings us the story of four siblings living and working at their vineyard. Written by Claire Kingsley, this is a fun, sexy series with a lot of heart. My only complaint? I found the series before the fourth book was released, and now I can’t wait for Leo’s story! He’s the most intriguing of all the siblings and I’m counting down until it releases in March.
The series starts off with Broken Miles, about the eldest Miles sibling, Roland, and his return the family’s vineyard in the Cascade Mountains. He’s spend the last four years working hard in San Francisco, proving to himself he doesn’t need his family or their expectations about him working at the family business. After receiving an emergency call from the sibling he trusts the most, he returns home to try to clean up the mess his deadbeat father created of the vineyard’s finances. He finds himself getting closer to his ex-wife, who is also employed at the vineyard. If you love second chance romances, this is a hot one for you- Roland and Zoe have serious sparks.
Next up we have Forbidden Miles, about the baby (and only girl) of the family, Brynn, as she falls in love with her brother’s best friend. This is a sweet romance novel with minimal angst but plenty of heat. If you love forbidden romance, this ones for you.
Most recently, we have Reckless Miles, about the family goofball, Cooper. Cooper is always up for a good time, moving from woman to woman, until he meets Amelia at a bar, still in her wedding dress after being left at the altar. After spending a steamy night together, he suggests they spend the next couple weeks together, since she would have been away on her honeymoon. This is a perfect romantic comedy!
Now bring on Hidden Miles, Leo’s story, releasing March 2019. I can’t wait!
